Mission:
Objective :
- To perform Supplier selection within the business, ensuring materials and services are provided to the business at the appropriate Cost, Quality and Delivery,
- To undertake Contract Management of Suppliers where a Service Level Agreement/Contract exists, improving their performance in terms of Quality, Cost & Delivery.
Measurement :
- Ensures QCD targets achievement, CONQ & claims management on scope of responsibility
- Percentage of supplier spend under contract,
- Number of QCDT reviews with Suppliers
Responsibilities :
- To ensure all requirements are competitively sourced in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures,
- To prepare and launch RFQs, perform supplier selection and Business Awards for identified material and/or service requirements in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures,
- Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers,
- To manage existing contracts and undertake contract negotiations for goods and services as required,
- To provide full Sourcing support for any identified project activities / requirements, including deputising for the Unit Sourcing Manager,
- To ensure Terms & Conditions, and other Charters/Alstom requirements, are in place with Suppliers,
- To respond to supplier and internal queries in a timely and professional manner,
- To undertake periodic benchmarking and maintain market intelligence to validate costs and drive cost reduction activities where appropriate,
- To resolve any contractual or performance issue associated with supplier agreements in a timely fashion,
- To escalate, as appropriate, any contractual or performance issue associated with supplier agreements,
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
Business or engineering School and MASTER in Purchasing
Technical Knowledge / Experience
- Previous experience in Sourcing
- Experience in Railway industry preferable (optional)
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Good knowledge of SAP
- IT literate with strong knowledge of MS Office

- Strong financial, analytical and negotiating skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships at different levels
- Excellent communication skills
