Description du poste Brilliant Planet is seeking a SCADA Engineer to help support the commissioning, operation and maintenance of a 3-ha scale autonomous SCADA-enabled algal cultivation system; and to assist in the front-end engineering design (FEED) of a larger 30ha system. The 3ha system is a proof of concept and will be used to test technologies, hardware, sensor applications and methodologies.
To assist with Brilliant Planet's exciting growth plans, the role would be based at our site in Akhfennir.
The successful candidate will primarily ensure the smooth operation of the 3ha site SCADA as well as support the modification of existing assets and the implementation of new assets as required to support the research goals of the site. The long-term focus for the position is to enable the optimisation of the SCADA system for deployment at the 30-ha site scale.
This position will report to the UK-based Engineering Division at Brilliant Planet but will comprise cross-departmental working with the Science Division team members as well as the on-site operating team. You will be part of a team laying the foundations of future success at Brilliant Planet.
Responsibilities include:
Operation & Maintenance of SCADA System:
- Day-to-day technical support for the operation and maintenance of the SCADA test system.
- Maintenance, repair, diagnosis and modification of SCADA platforms, PLC assets and field instrumentation.
- High-quality reporting of the SCADA system operation and performance and coordination with UK based team for the continuous improvement of the system and the implementation of any remedial work.
- Production of site operation sheets with meticulous reporting of outstanding snags and faults.
- Coordination between UK teams, external consultant engineers, and Moroccan operating team to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordination with the UK design team and other disciplines for the continuous updating of engineering drawings/schematics / programs and site-based documentation to reflect any system modifications.
- Ensure full HSE compliance at all times.
Support for System Design & Deployment:
- Reporting of any lessons learned from the implementation and operation of the 3-ha system and recommendations for technical/economic optimisation of existing and new facilities.
- Review of project proposals and detailed designs packages for new facilities.
- Interfacing with the UK design team to implement pilot technologies.
Implementation & Commissioning Support:
- Support the development of a commissioning plan for the implementation of the 30-ha site SCADA system.
- Facilitation of the installation, commissioning and testing for Brilliant Planet's 30ha site SCADA system.
- Implementation, testing and commissioning of new control and instrumentation assets.
- On-site lifecycle testing of the control system including SAT testing, handover testing and supervision of the commissioning work.
- Production of detailed commissioning sheets and associated commissioning documentation.
