Description du poste Key Responsibilities :
- Supports data domains to design & deliver business insights and visualization solutions to drive business value
- Maintains dashboards and provides support to users
- Supports the Data Culture lead in data citizen self-service training
Activities :
1- Delivery :
- Works with the Data Manager and business stakeholders to frame data need
- Performs an exploratory analysis to assess data quality & insight potential
- Performs in-depth data analysis to derive business insights
- Works with the Data Manager to shape the use-case UX & UI for the users to take best advantage of the data insights
- Test wireframes with users
- Extracts data from databases and designs data models to ensure dashboard efficiency and responsiveness
- Defines data quality controls to ensure insight robustness
- Develops and pushes dashboards to production
- Works closely with data engineers in case of complex data pipelines
- Possibly works an extra mile and turns prepared data into a data product on the Data Marketplace
2- Run :
- Monitors, maintains, and continuously improves its dashboards, adopting DevOps best practices, with possible support of IT Operations
- Continuously improves data quality controls
- Provides support to users on Data Manager demand
- Sets up and implements adoption metrics and dashboard success metrics
3- Innovation & BI community :
- Performs BI development peer reviews in other projects from any Data Domain
- Conducts experimentation projects with new BI technologies, sets up demonstrators and POV (Proof of Value) with the business teams
- Improve BI processes and tools, e.g., DevOps, Agility, ...
- Share project return of experience
- Train other BI engineers in advanced BI/data technologies
- Train the data citizen for self-BI (Qlik, PowerBi, etc.)
Qualifications :
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or similar is preferred
- Experience as a BI engineer or analysis role is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of data visualization technologies such as Qlik, SharePoint, Power BI, Grafana, Excel, SQL…
- Good knowledge in small- & large-scale database design, maintenance, and querying (SQL & nonSQL, Kafka consumers, ElasticSearch, Cypher...)
- SQL Server skills including SQL object development, performance tuning, data analysis, and integration
- Strong SI & reporting skills
- Knowledge in Python, R, and Spark for data mining and cleansing
- Knowledge in ETL and data governance technologies, e.g., Talend
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills
- The ability to work both as a team and independently
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strategic understanding of how Data enables business goals
- Product Management and Agile Methodologies
- Understanding of PO's technological environment
- Interest in data management
