An opportunity to play a unique senior role in shaping Citi Morocco corporate bank franchise and commercial engagement with the clients across Public Sector, Local Corporates and Financial Institutions. The successful candidate will be based in Morocco and will be reporting to the cluster Corporate Bank Head, with matrix reporting to the Citi Country Officer. The Corporate Bank Team Lead will be the senior BCMA (Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory) banker for client coverage in the Country playing the crucial role of leading the corporate bank franchise in the country and will work closely with the regional business heads.


This role will also have additional responsibilities including maintaining and driving a robust credit, risk & controls culture. The Corporate Bank Team Lead will also be part of the country Management and other governance committees


BCMA Responsibilities:


  • Provide overall relationship management for the corporate bank clients portfolio
  • Lead the day-to-day client coverage, and develop access, relationships and insights into all relevant activities.
  • Expand the corporate client base and drive revenue growth working in close partnership with BCMA and product partners
  • Work closely with clients and Citi partners on origination and execution of  transactions across products including transaction banking, capital markets, advisory and Markets
  • Develop a strong understanding of Citi's credit policies and processes and ensure strict adherence to these in partnership with internal partners
  • Participate in the country governance committees including ALCO and CCC
  • Develop and maintain corporate bank franchise and client business/account plans.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of Morocco macro and industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape.

Qualifications


  • Total working experience 5 years+, of which at least 3 years of corporate banking experience with strong credit skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes
  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to operate in a complex / matrix organization;
  • Good leadership skills, proven team player;
  • Ability to drive business by aligning internal resources and decision makers
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in making balanced risk judgements.
  • Relationship/stakeholder management with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Moroccan market is a key differentiator

Education:


  • Bachelor level degree required as minimum, with a preference for quantitative skills. Master's degree preferred
