The hotel honors its surroundings and heritage with luxury amenities and bespoke services. * 117 luxury rooms and suites blending Art Deco and Moroccan styles * Six restaurants and lounges with garden and fountain views * Spa with eight treatment rooms, two couple's suites and a traditional hammam * More than 25,700 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space * Recreation including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and a jogging track * Access to the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam and the Royal Equestrian Club ABOUT THE POSITION An ideal candidate is a highly social person, who knows ‘who's who' and what's happening where and when, has fingers on the pulse and is at the forefront of marketing trends. He or she will be responsible for ensuring that the activations at hotel are reflective of the Ritz-Carlton brand and hotel positioning. At the heart of this role is someone who is proficient in building influencer relationships, connected with creative communities and has a passion for music, fashion, and design. This person has strong event management skills, marketing experience, understands digital media platforms and is business oriented. Key responsibilities: Lead the hotel positioning strategy with specific emphasis on target audience, competitive differentiation, value proposition communication & activation. Develop and deliver the annual marketing plan and marketing budgets in line with the hotel strategic priorities and revenue target by market segments. Lead online marketing & social media strategies Pro-actively identify relevant marketing partners for the hotel and manage these relationships profitably to raise hotel awareness, drive demand, deepen loyalty and enrich brand experience. Lead event marketing & programming Act as a Brand Champion with the hotel teams. Together with the General Manager, drive brand activation and ensure the brand experience comes alive through the hotel messaging and guest experience. Support sales and operations teams with the creation of marketing collateral and tactical promotions associated with the key market segments (E.g. Groups, Beverage and Food, Suites) Drive loyalty Marketing Supporting Public Relations activities Key Requirements: Our Director of Marketing will be an experienced marketer who can lead both online and offline marketing initiatives with an innovative approach, driving revenues across all market segments Fluent in English and French, the successful candidate will be a highly capable individual who can spread the word via their networks, and build core relationships with our local and international clients. Clear communicator with ability to interact with senior leaders and key stakeholders. This individual will have a high energy, outgoing, dynamic personality and will be able to deliver on targets Other skills that we will be looking at are: · Event management / organizational skills · In-depth knowledge of Luxury Marketing · Innovative, proactive, a project starter · Sense of urgency / Speed to market · Ability to analyze data and establish appropriate action plans.
