As the Director of Rooms, your engaging personality and strategic vision will make a lasting impact of the Guest Experience at Fairmont Taghazout Bay, creating loyalty for guests and colleagues alike. The Director of Rooms is responsible for ensuring the entire Rooms operation is running smoothly for our guests. You have a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work with and lead your teams to work in a seamless and effortless manner.


What you will be doing:


  • Lead and manage the day to day operations of Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge, Housekeeping, Royal Service , and  Recreation ensuring all service standards are followed, ensuring exceptional guest service is provided as well as overall cleanliness of rooms and common areas
  • Manage third party relationships related to the Rooms Division
  • Prepare annual budgets and administer in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Lead and support all areas in the achievement of their colleague, guest and financial targets
  • Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost 
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the goals and targets therein
  • Active participation with the Commercial Team to increasing RevPAR index within the competitive set
  • Oversee group business, reviewing and ensuring details of group resumes are met
  • Oversee the selection, training and development of all Rooms Leaders & Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Develop and implement trainings & SOP's to align with Accor and Fairmont Service Standards for all new and existing colleagues to positively improve results in Guest Satisfaction (VOG), Compliance with Brand Standards (LQA), Employee Engagement (EES) and Guest Loyalty (ALL)
  • Direct Report to the General Manager
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:


  • 4+ years experience in a similar Senior Leadership role at a Luxury 5-Star city hotel environment 
  • Progressive Leadership expériences
  • Proficiency with PMS and hotel operating systems
  • Proven record to coordinate multiple departments to make gains towards targeted GSI, GOP, EEI results
  • Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions
  • Ability to build strong relationships, interact and influence others at all levels of the organization
  • Computer literacy a must, with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • University/College degree in related discipline would be a plus
  • Fluent spoken and written Arabic , French and English
