The Director of Spa is responsible for the planning, directing, and managing of Spa operations to ensure the highest quality and profitable products and services for Spa customers. The Director of Spa has the responsibility to ensure the achievement of guest satisfaction, sales goals, business objectives and programming.


Core work activities :


  • Manage overall operations of the Spa.
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce the Spa's policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Establish a price schedule for services to maximize patronage.
  • Develop a wide range of beauty and fitness services for residents, guests and oversee the marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision and performance of the Spa team.
  • Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors to maximize relationships, profitability, performance, and service standards while maintaining the first-class condition of the Spa.
  • Ensure department compliance with all Hyatt policies, procedures and programs.
  • Prepare and oversee the department's financial goals.
  • Ensure achievement of sales goals, business objectives and profitability.
  • Overseeing and directing the product retailing operations at the Spa.
  • Responsible for projecting a positive image within the facility, maintaining an atmosphere of cooperative teamwork that emphasizes customer service and satisfaction.

  • Five years experience as a Director of Spa in a luxury environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of full range of spa services and therapies.
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury hotel.
  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership, supervisory, and management skills.
  • Budgeting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest, management, and staff.
  • Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in fast pace environments.
  • An inspirational, caring, and engaging leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A relentless and infectious passion for training and hands-on operational work.
  • A sound pre-opening experience in spa operations is advantageous.
