This position reports to the General Manager, is part of the Executive Committee and is a Division head role.


The Director of Talent and Culture forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for our Resort.  The Director will oversee all aspects of the Talent and Culture division including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention , internal communication , career development of Heartists, wage & hour compliance, training, workers' compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.


We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills and are able to evidence professionalism and adaptability. 


The Director of Talent & Culture is an integral part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the resort.


The primary responsibilities for this key leadership role are to ensure the Heartists experience is best in class and the hotel environment is a diverse, positive culture where all members of the team are inclusively valued, respected and motivated to excel in their chosen career path.



Qualifications

The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required:


  • Proactive influencer and future-focused leader who can drive the business and bring to life the vision of the hotel.


  • Strong relationship management is key for all stakeholders (internal, external, ownership and our brand).


  • Attention to detail, style and aesthetics of hotel is critical.


  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. 


  • Ability to attract new, dynamic talent  who compliment the vision of the hotel.


  • The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.


  • Working knowledge of local labor law


  • A creative and inventive leader who operates in a space where there is no box.


  • College Degree in Human Resources or similar field.


  • Fluent in English, Arabic and French
