LOCATION



This position is located at our property Amanjena in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Inspired by the rose-hued buildings of old Marrakech, palatial Amanjena is close to the fabled Red City, set in its own expanse of gardens and grand open spaces. Shaded courtyards with fountains lead to the central bassin that nourishes the gardens in which spacious standalone guest pavilions and maisons rest, all with private gardens and many with private pools. Views stretch across the olive groves and palms of the oasis, extending to the High Atlas Mountains on the horizon.

POSITION OVERVIEW



The General Manager of Amanjena holds responsibility for the entire hotel operation.
Reporting to Regional Managing Director of EMEA, the General Manager leads the team to operational excellence and delivers exceptional guest experiences, through ensuring colleagues are well informed and engaged, whilst focusing on revenues and maximising financial performance. In line with our Value of Celebrating Communities, it is paramount that the General Manager is an active part of the local community.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Key duties of General Manager include:
Develops an operational strategy that is aligned with the Aman's business strategy and leads its execution. Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy. Keeps operations teams focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results; makes and executes key decisions to keep property moving forward towards achievement of goals. Champions the Aman's service vision for product and service delivery and ensures alignment amongst the property Leadership team. Is highly visible and interfaces with guests on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction. Creates appropriate development plans and develops colleagues based on their individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations and abilities. Ensures the same is done for all managers in the property. Suggests innovative marketing ideas to gain market share. Ensures operations team has a sales strategy with aggressive goals and motivates individuals to achieve these goals and maximize performance. Working closely with corporate team to deliver future residence project on the property

QUALIFICATIONS



We are looking for a visionary leader with a strong background in managing luxury resorts. Experience with working in remote location is preferred.
The successful candidate will be a charismatic ambassador for the property, setting the highest standards of personal presentation and must be able to uphold the reputation of the property through a quality-driven, guest-focussed approach.
You will be a strong operational, highly-organised leader who is visible in the business and enjoys interacting with guests. In addition, you will be skilled at building relationships with stakeholders.
In addition to a deep understanding of luxury, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at identifying growth opportunities and fostering innovation. You will possess strong business acumen to ensure top and bottom-line performance and act with integrity.
We are looking for a dynamic, approachable leader who leads by example, inspiring colleagues and fostering a culture of excellence. You will be passionate about colleague engagement and make team development a priority.
You will have a bachelor's degree in hospitality or other relevant discipline and be fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
You will have a proven track record as a leader in ultra-luxury hospitality operation in and have demonstrated success in leading teams and working with external stakeholders.
Previous experience with managing hospitality operation with luxury residence is beneficial
French speaker required.
