Role purpose
You will work from our office in Casablanca, Morocco, and report into the Principal Real-World Services, with focus mainly on the Moroccan market and other markets in East, West and North Africa. Typical projects include development and adaptation of medico-economic models, network meta-analyses, survival analysis and real-world evidence studies using electronic medical records, databases, registries and claims. The audience for these analyses will be various pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology companies. As part of a broader team, you will contribute to the design of these type of studies, preparation of the data, analysis, quality control, interpretation and presentation of the results.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the RWS activities and interactions in the Moroccan market and other regional markets as needed,
- Lead the development and adaptation of medico-economic models (cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and budget impact models),
- Organize and conduct high quality primary and secondary research studies
- Conduct evidence synthesis by means of meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparison or network meta-analysis (frequentist or Bayesian) with patient-level and/or aggregate data (e.g., from literature review) from RCTs
- Contribute to the development of value dossiers and support material for clients
- Conduct survival analysis using R or SAS
- Specify and/or extract data from databases; prepare and analyse datasets according to study protocol and SAP
- Write and present results of analysis appropriate for the intended audience
- Assist in the dissemination of any relevant findings through technical reports, manuscripts, posters, and presentations,
- Assist with client management and attend external meetings
- Assist with project management and project delivery, including oral presentations
- Engagement based responsibilities are assigned and managed by engagement managers or principals.
Qualifications and Skills
- MSc or PhD or equivalent in health economics, epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics or related discipline
- Prior relevant experience working, at least 5 years, as a pharmaco-economist, HEOR and/or Market Access in consultancy, CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech
- Ability to develop and adapt pharmaco-economics models (e.g. Markov models)
- Good understanding of the Algerian healthcare system is a prerequisite
- Strong numeracy and quantitative skills as well as competency using MS Excel (competency using Visual Basic is a plus)
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible & problem-solving mindset, excellent attention to detail and ability to check own work so that drafts are delivered to a high quality
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Attitude to work well as a member of team and to build and manage relationships in a multi-cultural environment
- Eligibility to work in Morocco without visa sponsorship
