The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy and an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Since 1983, CIPE has worked with business leaders, policymakers, and civil society to build the institutions vital to a democratic society. CIPE's key program areas include enterprise ecosystems, democratic governance, business advocacy, anti-corruption & ethics, trade, and women's economic empowerment.


Job Overview:  


We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Coordinator to join our team in Rabat, Morocco. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating CIPE Morocco programs and initiatives. This position requires strong communication and project management skills, as well as close collaboration with Moroccan partner organizations and CIPE staff in Washington DC. He or she will: help local partner organizations create and adhere to calendars and workplans; track activity progress; identify and resolve programmatic challenges in consultation with the Country Director and CIPE colleagues; work with the Program Associate to ensure timely grant administration; support monitoring and evaluation and data collection; participate in project events; provide feedback on partner organization outputs and reporting; and, contribute to writing for CIPE reports and communications products. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop program objectives, strategies, and timelines. 


  • Coordinate CIPE Morocco program logistics, including scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation. 


  • In coordination with the CIPE MEL team, monitor and evaluate program outcomes, collecting and analyzing data to measure success. 


  • Prepare regular reports on program progress and performance. 


  • Contribute to concept and proposal development, as well as writing internal reports.  


  • Foster positive relationships with participants and partners through regular communication on progress and challenges and participate in events and meetings as needed.  


  • Ensure program compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 


  • Stay informed about best practices, making recommendations for program improvements. 


  • Assist in the development of internal and external communication materials and outreach strategies to promote programs and CIPE Morocco work. 


  • Handle program-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. 


  • Participate in business development and stakeholder efforts and meetings as appropriate and requested by the Morocco Country Director   


  • Promote CIPE's vison, mission and strategic goals   


Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Social Science, International Development, Political Science, Business administration, nonprofit management, project management). 


  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, French, and Arabic. 


  • Demonstrated interest in political and economic development.  


  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in program coordination or project management. 


  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team across time zones. 


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. 


  • Proficiency in budgeting. 


  • Knowledge of program evaluation and data analysis techniques is a plus.
