Position overview:


Reporting to the Production Manager, our future production supervisor will be primarily responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. His/Her primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. This position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
  • Compiles and analyzes production records
  • Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
  • Creates and maintains professional schedules
  • Recruits, hires, and trains employees
  • Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Contact appropriate sources for repair issues
  • Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
  • Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
  • Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
  • Evaluate the condition of production equipment
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
  • Compiles and analyzes production records

Key skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Previous experience in production supervision or management in TRIM (5 years min)
  • Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs (QAD/SAP…)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
  • Good English & French languages, spoken and written
