ROLE SUMMARY


  • The Logistics Specialist, as a core member of the Market's Logistics Organization and reporting to the Logistics Manager, acts as an enabler/facilitator in ensuring market's Logistics operations in market, comprising set of end-to-end processes - Inbound, Storage, Outbound processes for finished products in market's Distribution Center, delivery to Pfizer's customers (until point of handover) and reverse logistics are managed as per defined operational Global and market processes and existing SLAs, in compliant and efficient (cost, process) manner. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for adherence to regulatory, quality and compliance standards defined by Pfizer and Local Authorities, in managing market's Logistics/Distribution Operations. The Logistics Specialist Participates in the streamlining and continuous optimization of the flow of logistics operations and distribution of finished products, implements the appropriate analysis, monitoring and control tools for the execution of the distribution center budget process, while supporting the preparation of forecasts and the reporting of variances.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES


Act as a logistics facilitator to ensure all elements of the daily operations (import operations, inbound logistics, outbound logistics, transportation), value-added activities (ex. Marketing Aids, Samples, Secondary packaging) are handled in a way to meet customer requirements and Pizer commitments: includes and not limited to, Interfacing with LCZ/Supply points, 3rd party clearance agents, DC operators / 3rd party vendors / freight forwarders, etc, ensuring monitoring and controls are in place to track performance, cost, quality, and shipping record management & Responsible for facilitating key processes and activities in ensuring product integrity throughout the supply chain in market's jurisdiction. Including and not limited to:


1. Inbound operations:


  • Execute inbound shipments from the Logistics Center Zaventem or local manufacturing site to the distribution center, to ensure physical reception of finished products in the assigned compliant areas.

2. Warehousing and inventory management:


  • End-to-end inventory management (counts, reconciliation, adjustment, reporting and communication)
  • Execute pick slips, issue delivery slips and receipt of goods on SAP.
  • Provide the data and statistics necessary for the selection, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of transport modes in order to guarantee a reliable, profitable and efficient delivery service by optimizing the costs and the process.
  • Ensure a permanent storage space analysis and put in place all preventive actions to ensure a proper product storage in the DC.
  • Monitor and ensure supply of packaging materials and data loggers to ensure the availability and traceability of shipments in a timely manner, in collaboration with the logistics manager and suppliers.

3- Distribution operations and reverse logistics:


  • Ensure the delivery of products to customers including the transportation.
  • Monitor and ensure supply of packaging materials and data loggers in order to guarantee the availability and traceability of shipments in a timely manner and in collaboration with the logistics manager. Additionally, perform reverse logistics processes for reusable materials.
  • Manage returned goods in a timely manner and in accordance with the predefined procedure.
  • Participate in recall process and Market actions.

4- Labelling operations:


Manage the labeling operation, this includes but not limited to:


  • Ensuring the development, the update and the monitoring of labeling protocols until approval on PDOCs according to market needs.
  • Setting up a weekly labeling program as per the business need and following the weekly alignment meeting with different stakeholders.
  • Organize a weekly meeting with quality and demand department to plan the operations.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of labeling process

5- Supply and distribution costs:


  • Support in preparing and meeting market's distribution budget with qualitydata and analysis; monitoring costs, correcting errors, forecasting and reporting actuals and variance
  • Support and propose continuous improvement initiatives in order to optimize distribution costs.

6- Quality & compliance:


  • Full awareness of and adherence to quality and compliance requirements related to downstream supply chain: includes, Pfizer policies, 3rd party requirements, GDP, Quality Agreement. Market's regulatory requirements, Serialisation mandate, EH&S, Business Continuity, DG and Controlled, and Security requirements, Global Trade Controls, etc
  • Maintain the accuracy of the ERP system to ensure availability of finished product information, SKU number, product description, lot number, manufacture and expiry dates, country of origin.
  • Ensure the design, implementation, monitoring and updating of SOPs.
  • Assist with Market Excellence Assessments within pre-determined timelines and according to pre-defined objectives.
  • Ensure that QTS system updates and incident reports are done on time in collaboration with the quality department, in order to guarantee the implementation of a corrective and preventive action plan.
  • Maintain files, SOPs and departmental records. Ensure that all documentation is safely archived, can be easily retrieved for audit requirements and is updated regularly with changes to legislation and working practices and that any such changes are implemented.
  • Train new colleagues on systems and processes.

7- Project management and operational excellence:


  • Participate in different Logistics projects.
  • Support data analysis, improvement, and operational excellence initiatives by achieving cost savings and process improvement (ex. Storage analysis exercice…)

8- Measurements / reports


  • Ensure IMEx tools implementation in workspace (Standard Work, PCT, VMC, CI loop, Structured Gemba), prepare T1/T2 Dashboard and Lead and direct continuous improvement projects for the logistics operations delivering cost and process efficiencies.
  • Maintain monthly tracking reports (inbound, invoices and purchase orders, etc) as required for market logistics operations activities.

9- EHS and Security Responsibility:


  • Actively participate in the achievement of the site's EHS objectives and in the continuous improvement of the EHS management system.
  • Destruction process Temperature management (warehouse and transportation)

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years' experience in pharma SC or equivalent (a degree or certification in supply chain is preferred)
  • Experience in Logistics and Distribution Operations
  • Experience with import, export, customs processes and documentation in the region
  • Hands-on experience in Logistics ERP systems
  • Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain E2E processes and ability to apply supply chain concepts in logistics operations
  • Able to analyze logistics reports to analyze trends and status
  • Experience identifying trends and exceptions in data ·
  • Experience identifying improvements/opportunities for cost reduction related to distribution expenses
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise or led cross-functional team projects.
  • Understanding of procurement essentials
